Class Evaluation

Some things that I got to enjoy on a personal level are my classmates because they have been very kind and helpful this past year. They have been helpful by helping me with any questions I have asked them. For instance, last class I was having a difficult time completing the code-academy levels and my table peers were helping me which resulted in me understanding the concept of the task it was asking me to complete. I have also enjoyed the positive attitude and vibes Mr.Haymore has been giving his students the past years he has been employeed here. I really like how he has also enforced great positivity in the classrooms.

Some things I dislike about this class is how some students may act disrespectful towards the class rules. For instance, they randomly shout out things that disturb the peace in the classroom. Which can be really distracting and annoying. I'm also pretty sure that it hurts Mr.Haymore because I feel the type of disrespect he may feel from other students that disrespect him and his class and it makes me feel bad.

I don't think this class needs to be improved anymore because I think that Mr. Haymore has one enough and tried to enforce as much good in people but its the peoples decision to do good.

Just watching others who started as a nobody motivates others who have big dreams because anybody can become a somebody. It's very encouraging to have people to look up to, a role model.

Reflection: These are the 10 steps that Ronaldo went by and it help him aspire to where he is now, a professional footballer. It was difficult for Ronaldo to accomplish all his goals, but he was determined and motivated by the people who believed in him. During try-outs for the Linda Marquez girls volleyball team I too, used some of these steps. For me it was a bit difficult because I had no experience in being in a volleyball team before, but it didn't stop me from competing against those who were returners. I was motivated to work hard by those same people who encouraged me to try-out. There were people

10 Seeds of Greatness

Denis Waitley

1. The Seed of Self-Esteem (Appreciate the Value of Yourself)

The seed of self-esteem is important to develop because it helps you boost yourself up when no one else will. It's very important to value yourself because no one can value you more than yourself. Good self-esteem helps an individual grow to appreciate themselves. Bad self-esteem destroys ones hope and reassurance into bettering them-self. That is why it's best to block out any negative people that don't help you grow into a better person. Isolating yourself from negative people and surrounding yourself with positive people make you as person feel better about who you've become. The only opinion that matters is your own.

2. The Seed of Creativity "Releasing your Creative energy"The seed of creativity is important to develop because it helps you think outside the box and image things onto another level. It is also important because not everyone can have a creativity mind. in our society today not everyone approves of having a creative mind because "they think it's weird". They tend to isolate the people who are "different" just because they can't develop that same skill like others. So they try to put others down. Schools limit our creativity the most but that shouldn't stop the creative people.

3. The Seed of Responsibility "Whatever we sow, we reap"

The seed of responsibility is important because in order to maintain a job you have to be responsible. Responsibility comes with great advantages. Being responsible can better your future because it can teach you to prioritize your tasks. Responsibility comes with a great cost and you should not take advantage of it. If you are not responsible you are disorganized and unprepared. in school you must be responsible because if you are not then you will start losing your mind and belongings. Its important to also be responsible because you can people look up to you and you will start setting a great example for your siblings, families, friends and peers. If you are not responsible people will not trust you with their belongs or any group work you have complete at school. Nobody likes irresponsible students.

4. The Seed of Wisdom: "A large vocabulary -- which implies broad, general knowledge -- characterizes the more successful persons, regardless of their occupations".

The seed of wisdom is important because in other to maintain knowledge you have to have wisdom. The point of wisdom is to see the big picture and being able to translate one's experience and knowledge into good judgement and decision. It is important to show wisdom to others that way they learn and continue to pass it on to others. Knowing wisdom will give you the respect you earn.  having knowledge and taking initiative to take action to do something is having wisdom.

5. The Seed of Purpose "The Gold Mine is your Goals"

The seed of purpose is important because it determines how your future is destined to be. everyone has a sense of purpose;without it we lose our way and become demotivated and depressed. Recent studies have shown that when people are contributing to a higher purpose, they are more likely to have a healthier outlook on life and be more resilient to stress. The point of having purpose in your life is to help you achieve your goals and give you a reason for living. Believing in God gives certain people a purpose of living.  Following Gods path brings meaning to our lives. What ever helps you find a purpose such as family, friends, pets, money or etc you should find it so it can motivate you to make your dreams a reality.

6.The Seed of Communication. "Reach out and touch someone"

The seed of communication is important to everyone because in order to succeed  in relationships you need to be able to communicate with your partner, friends, and family. Communication is very important to us because its the key to making friendships and creating bonds with other people. If we don't communicate with others how could we expect them to know how we feel. For example, if there is no communication in a relationship it wouldn't last because neither of them are communicating with each other. Another example could be for school, such as if the teacher made a mistake on your grade you have to be able to communicate with them in order for them to fix it.

7. The Seed of Faith "The power of positive believing"

The seed of faith is important because we usually have faith when something bad has happened to us or a family member. Faith is an expression of hope for something better. We happen to act in faith when there is no guarantee or certainty. Faith can speak the language of the heart. If we don't have faith in ourselves we cant relay on others to have faith for us and expect them to bring us up. It is important to have faith in ourselves because we need to believe in ourselves to keep us motivated and sane.

8. The Seed of Adaptability "Turning problems into opportunities"

9. The Seed of Perseverance "The will to win is everything"

Perseverance means not giving up. To keep on pushing through good and bad times. We must understand that the things that we desire will need fighting for and endless effort. People who have a mindset of always persevering simply go farther in life. Perseverance means fighting through, past your comfort zone. It means not giving when the task reaches a difficulty level you did not believe it would. Perseverance encompasses what it is to fight until the end of something;to finally reach completion. "Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not: nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not: the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent."( Calvin Coolidge).

10. The Seed of Perspective: "Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace, and gratitude."

  5. Be careful not to twist the truth or leave out part of it.
  6. Don't indulge in little white lies.
  7. Watch out for silent lies.
  8. When you catch yourself lying, throw your mouth into reverse.
  9. Talk to yourself.
  10. Treat yourself when you tell the truth.
Reflection:

These "Ten Tips for Being more Truthful" by Barbara Lewis are very great tips learning how to become an honest person not only with others but with yourself. This also helps you become a better person. Especially when it comes to getting caught it's better to tell the truth than to think of a lie. I agree with her when she says that you should think very clearly before you think of a lie before it can hurt the other person and yourself if you continue to let that lie get bigger. These ten tips are so important to live by because they help you grow into a better person and helps become a trust worthy person. I can interpret these ten tips into my life planning goals by achieving any goals I've inputted into my goals journal for example a goal that I have is to remain truthful as long as I live. People will always respect you if you continue to choose the right.

Freelance Post 3/16/17

In the video that Mr.Haymore showed our classroom today was about honesty and it showed two perspectives of what two students. One of the students was in Junior High and as soon as she entered the classroom the teacher handed them a test to complete and one of her classmates asked her what the answer for number four was and as she taught about  not only the consequences they'd receive if they were caught cheating but what the student would gave in life from asking others for answers they should be prepared for. If the student helped her cheat she would not only lose respect from herself but the student would not learn and would always think it's okay to cheat out of life. So towards the end she told the student no and ended talking to her about it after the teacher collected the test. In the other students perspective that was shown in the video he was taking a medical final exam or test at a college every student pulled out their cheat sheets as soon as the teacher left the classroom. Except for two student as one of the students taught to himself about how he wouldn't be able to compete with these students because they had the answers. But then one student stood up in the front of the class and told all the students that he had his kids and wife at home and that whoever had a cheat sheet out he'd tell on them because he didn't work so hard for himself and his family so he can loose his opportunity to those who didn't work for it. And as soon as he said that all the students put their cheat sheets away and it turned out to be the highest class ever in history to graduate. So being honest is standing up for what is right!!
